Mitch Hedberg

Mitch Hedberg has a particular style of comedy that not everyone may 'get' but he put out some pretty classic bits. Most of his stuff is centered around one-liners (or a similar style) but it just seems to work for him. I think he did some drugs in his time.... and he passed away back in 2005 so this could be a little memorial.

Another comedian who has a somewhat similar (although more depressed) style, is Steven Wright. Check out some of his work:

24: The Unaired 1994 Pilot

And for my last post of the night...

Internet commenter business meeting

If meetings were like a forum/message board/comment system then this would be how they sounded. Please be mindful of the language - so if you're a young person and easily impressionable or are at work (use headphones) leave now!

Rejected!

These vidoes are pretty legendary (as far as internet videos go). Don Hertzfeldt, of bitterfilms.com, created these short clips for the family channel (or so it's told). They flat out rejected them all - for good cause really. However, the internets (in their wisdom) have blessed these videos with the sweet viral juices that made tron guy a household name.

Here are some classic lines from the videos:
"And now, angry ticks fire out of my nipples"
"I am a banana"
"My spoon is too big!"
"My anus is bleeding!"

Rejected Cartoons by: Don Hertzfeldt

This one is one of my favorites, although that may say something about me.. and not a good 'something'... It's a bit demented, but i think the people that read my blog will appreciate the humour.

Awesome sticky note experiment

So the guys that brought us the original diet coke and mentos video have created another masterpiece of web video. They used 280,951 sticky notes in this commercial/viral video (how many tree is that?). But it is very colorful - and creative - if nothing else. Enjoy minutes of office wackiness.

Spectacular Sticky-Note Experiment

A little behind the times...

This has been around for quite a while now. I can remember when it first came out i was pretty amazed at the poor girls inability to construct a sentence properly, let alone answer the question. I hope 'The Iraq' doesn't take offense.

Miss Teen USA 2007 - South Carolina answers a question

This video has over 28 million views.... that's embarrassing.

Complexities of the english language

I have to agree with this nice, old man that our spelling and pronunciation of words is pretty peculiar in the English language. His little visual aid says it all really.

The English Language is Dum

The truth

I'm sure i could go on and on about the music and movie industries and their battles against file sharers and 'pirates' - but i doubt i'd be able to articulate anything that hasn't already been said. But lets take a few moments to see how it truly effects the musicians... through Southpark.

That's what she said...

Here's a bunch of clips from The Office where any sentence that can be used as an innuendo... is!

Weird Al Yankovic

Weird Al Yankovic is a pretty prolific writer of Comedy music. He's been doing it since 1979 and has sold more than 12 million albums. Nice work Al. Here are a few of my favorites (feel free to post your favs in the comments).

So after doing some quick searches it looks like Weird Al songs are embeddable in sites, but i can link to the video directly - it's just a click away. I've included the original song that the parody is based off as well.

White & Nerdy (34 million views - not bad! - based off Chamilionaire - ridin' dirty)

Amish Paradise (Coolio - Gangsters Paradise)

Fat (Michael Jackson - Bad)

Eat it (Michael Jackson - Beat it)

Smells like nirvana (Nirvana - Smells like teen spirit)

SNL Jeopardy

If you have never seen SNL Celebrity Jeopardy (JASON!!) then you need to get out of the comedy box and see them. The SNL Jeopardy skits loosely revolve around Celebrity Jeopardy and the returning character of Sean Connery (who dislikes and verbally abuses host Alex Trebek). I found a guy on Youtube with a bunch of them. These videos usually get taken down, but hopefully you'll be able to check these out. Either way, check out his profile for Perfect Strangers!! episodes as well.

I think Jimmy Fallon does a good impression of Robin Williams here - really.

Burt Reynolds is another great re-occurring character. enjoy.

The Waldo Ultimatum

Just saw this on the youtubes - a mix of the Bourne Ultimatum and Where's Waldo. There are a couple good scenes. I especially like it when they put the waldo face on the motorcycle rider... nice.

Freestyle Rap Battle Translated For Whitey

If this wasn't overdubbed i wouldn't have any idea what's going on (except for the last bit of aggression). But thanks to the internets, i now know in great detail all that these fine lyricists have to say.
