Bill Cosby on ESPN 2, 5 and 6

I'll preface this post a bit to say that I really like Bill Cosby and his show (The Cosby Show) and his standup (sample). But he may be losing his mind slightly... he's still funny though. CHITLIN LEGS

Quick update

Just a quick update to notify my loyal readers (all 2 or 3 of you) that i've been working quite a bit lately and as such my blog of wonderful, funny videos has suffered. Please be patient as I should eventually have some free time again in the next week or so... until that time feel free to check out some of my favorite sources for material:

Some new stuff

I'm not nearly as active at posting to this blog anymore (i've had a busy week actually) - but i figured i'd post a few interesting links/videos to keep my fans coming back for more (John, Clinton, Gord - that's probably it... haha).

For the geeks/nerds in all of us - awesome screensaver

I'm not sure which i prefer, crazy rap from the 80's or the skanky rap of today.. you decide.

The US of A is converting all over-the-air cable signals to digital in 2009 to free up some wireless channels (money money money). Anyways, here's a helpful video to inform the older generation on how update their TV setup.

Kyle Kinane

I like finding new comics. There are some really funny up and coming guys/girls who probably won't make the mainstream but who offer something really different and entertaining. Here's a fellow i found today (he did a bit at BlizzCon this weekend with Patton Oswalt). The minotaur and chicken-baby bit are pretty great.

Terminator 2 - low budget

Matt from work sent this around - it's got a couple great moments in it (like the tinfoil used when T1000 is shot). This concept of remaking existing movies on the cheap with little or no expense has a name - sweded. The movie 'Be kind rewind' is an example of a movie about people who have to remake movies in this way (starring Jack Black and Mos Def). I've seen a few of these types of movies in the past. Feel free to post your favs in the comments.

Star wars has probably been redone more than any movie. Here's a good one:

The Theme from “Shaft” Performed on a Ukulele Orchestra

Here's the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain's rendition of that classic Isaac Hayes movie theme from 'Shaft' played live at Cambridge Folk Festival. Thanks to Pat for having this on his messenger profile.

Do not call list

So this isn't a funny video or link, but it will hopefully be very useful. The National "Do Not Call" list website went live back on the 1st of october (and was overrun with people trying to sign up).

Anyways, be sure to signup if you're living in Canada - could save you some wasted time on the phone with telemarketers.

The Hour

The Hour is one of the better shows on the CBC right now (in my opinion). It's got some great interviews with interesting people, and it doesn't try to be a 'Late night with George' type of show. Usually the guests are a bit more candid and they don't have to use 'tv-friendly language' all the time. There's a youtube channel with a ton of 'The Hour' stuff available here: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheHour

Here are a couple of fun/interesting clips:

Whose line is it anyways

Whose line is it anyway? has to be one of the best sketch comedy shows on since i've been alive (early 80's). They had a great cast, and they kept things fresh enough not to make the show boring. The show originated in Britain back in 1988 and when it went off the air ABC picked it up for North American consumption. I've added a few videos from youtube that I've enjoyed. It's pretty tough to find a clip that isn't somewhat enjoyable. It's too bad the show is off the air.
