And now for something completely different

If you have any kind of comedic interest, you've at least seen or heard a few Monty Python sketches. The guys completely changed the game when it comes to skit comedy. They are a goldmine for geeky lunchtime conversation (not me of course.... shifty eyes). Thankfully, the members of Monty Python have not become stupid in their old age and have created a channel on youtube where you can watch high-quality clips of some of their best bits. While the majority of artists/actors shy away from the internet and sharing, these guys are putting their work out there and just linking to their dvd collections and shows on amazon and other online outlets. Smart! Here is the main youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/MontyPython

The perfect crime

Dwight is definitely one of the more interesting/funny characters on The Office. He just says and does stuff that is so oddball and out in left field that you can't help but laugh. I'm really starting to enjoy this show - you have to listen for the good parts (no laugh track to cue you in), but it's worth it for the small nuggets of awesomeness.

More impressions

Seems like there are a lot of impressionists out there...

Pablo Francisco

CSI: Jim Carrey

Impressionist

I was talking about this fellow today, Frank Caliendo, and figured i'd post a couple impressionist videos. Dave Letterman had a full week of them that are worth checking out.

XTREME!!

The letter 'X' and the word 'extreme' have been used a lot in the past 8-10 year to describe a lot of things (skateboarding, snowboarding, extreme-games ...etc). But sometimes things are actually extreme. And in the genre of action sports, this means they're super entertaining. Check out the following videos of people doing amazing/crazy

You might also want to check out this quicksilver snowboard video trailer - it's pretty nutso.

That's it, that's all

The Matrix runs on Windows

College humor keeps coming up with great original content. Like this spoof of the Matrix using Windows XP as the default environment for the Matrix. Good stuff.

Extras

Ricky Gervais has done a lot of impressive work over the years. He created the original British version of The Office. He then went on to create another great comedy show - Extras. The basic premise is as follows:

Extras is a British television sitcom about extras working on film sets and in theatre. The series is co-produced by the BBC and HBO, and is created, written, and directed by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, both of whom also star in it. Extras charts the lives of Andy Millman, his friend Maggie Jacobs and Andy's substandard agent and ex-Carphone Warehouse employee Darren Lamb as Millman rises to fame.
Following are some of my favorite clips.

Hamster on a piano

Don't ask me why, but someone made this.  It is pretty cute, and a little catchy.  Just watch it, you're not here to improve your social skills or learn something new - you're here to be entertained.  Enjoy.

Really Cool game

This is the first time i've seen/heard of this game, 'The unfinished swan', but it looks really amazing. Such a simple concept but very new and inventive. Check out the tech demo below.
